Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehab center on account of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This will occur for example when someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered through the court it's wise that the individual try everything they can to benefit from this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eliminated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that is ordered for them. New offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients that experience rehabilitation in lieu of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive effective rehabilitation.
