Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of drug and alcohol treatment program due to alcohol or drug related offense. This will occur for instance if a person is convicted of a DUI or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the court to believe that the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered by the judge it's wise that the individual try everything they're able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be completely eliminated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and completes the drug and alcohol rehab center which has been ordered for them.
