Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of alcohol and drug rehab facility on account of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for instance if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or for any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to believe the individual has any kind of substance abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol treatment facility as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered by the judge it's well advised that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehab and finishes the drug rehabilitation center that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that take part in rehabilitation in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves a legal court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
