Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehab facility on account of alcohol or drug related crime. This can occur for example if someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, and for any other type of drug related offense that has led the judge to think that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered through the court it is wise that the individual try everything they're able to to get the most from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in rehab and completes the drug rehab center that has been ordered for them. First-time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who take part in rehab in lieu of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive effective rehabilitation.
